Nikon ME-D10 Shotgun Microphone for ZR
The ME-D10 is an optional shotgun microphone that attaches to the digital accessory shoe on the ZR. The microphone is powered by the ZR and supports professional-quality 32-bit float audio recording.
The intelligent mic features two modes that you can switch between: PURE mode provides standard capture at 40 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response without filtering, and FOCUS mode provides a 90 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response that is designed to pick up human voices more clearly. There is also a switch to change the pickup pattern from front cardioid, to rear cardioid, or to omnidirectional. A status LED on the front and back indicates when the mic is in use, and it can be adjusted between high beam, low beam, and off.
The ME-D10 features a built-in shock mount and a large front-facing status lamp that illuminates during video recording. Included with the microphone are a dedicated wind muff, digital accessory foot cover and case.
